1 RULES
1.1
The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2013-2016.
1.2
X-35 class rules will apply.
1.3
All boats shall in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20 display advertising provided by the event
organizer. All boats are required to apply Volkswagen X-35 Cup bowstickers, flags and pennants that
are provided by the Event Organizers.
Volkswagen X-35 Cup forestay flag hoisted in the halyard at all times while moored. Distance from
deck to bottom of flag: 270 cm. If a flag is lost, a participator will be charged 500 SEK for a
replacement.

Failing to display advertisement as stated above can result in disqualification from one or several races. The stickers will be supplied by the Event Organiser. Boat teams are responsible for the application at all times.
1.4
ISAF Sailor Classification, Regulation 22 will apply.
2 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
2.1
Each participating boat shall fill in and return the self-declaration “Checklist X- 35 Class Rules” that will be sent to each boat before each Grand Prix.
2.2
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance.
2.3
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
2.3
All boats have to be equipped with VHF.
2.4
All crews should wear cup bracelets (will be supplied) on shore for activities.
3 ENTRIES
3.1
Entry application shall be made via the application link on the Volkswagen X-35 Cup website (FÖR
TÄVLANDE - ANMÄLAN) three weeks before each regatta.
3.2
The advance entry shall include the following:

Name of the boat
Name of the team
Skipper’s name
Skippers e-mail
Telephone number
Yacht club
3.3
The entry fee for the entire Volkswagen X-35 Cup is SEK 9000
Entry fees for each individual Grand Prix is as follows:
GP 1 Saltsjöbaden SEK 2000
GP 2 Nacka Strand SEK 2800
GP 3 Hangö, Finland SEK 2000
GP 4 Nynäshamn SEK 2000
GP 5 Valdemarsvik SEK 2000
GP 6 World Championships, Malmö EUR 700
GP 7 Stockholm Sailing Grand Prix SEK 2500

Volkswagen X-35 Cup price * SEK 9000
The entry fee is to be paid to Whyshore not later than three weeks before the regatta.
* The special Volkswagen X-35 Cup price is 9 000 SEK (ordinary total price 13 300 SEK). To be
entitled for the special Volkswagen X-35 Cup price you must participate in at least five of the Grand
Prix.
4 APPLICATION & ENTRY FEE THROUGH SIMPLE SIGN UP
Application and payment of entry fee shall be made three weeks before each regatta the latest. Less than three weeks before regatta the entry fee will be 500 SEK more.

5 REGISTRATION AND MEASUREMENT CHECKS
Registration shall be made at the local race office at each Grand Prix. Measurement checks may be performed.
6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be posted on the Volkswagen X-35 Cup website shortly before each Grand Prix. There you can download the document in pdf.

7 TIME SCHEDULE
GP 1 Saltsjöbaden 11-12 May (Nacka Strand Yacht Club)
A minimum of 4-6 course races.
GP 2 Nacka Strand 18-19 May (Nacka Strand Yacht Club)
4-6 course races and 1 coastal race. (Lidingö Runt)
GP 3 Hangö, Finland, 8-9 june

GP 4 Nynäshamn 15-16 june (Nynäshamns Segelsällskap)
4-6 course races and 1 coastal race.
GP 5 Valdemarsvik 10-11 august (Valdemarsviks Båt Klubb)
4-6 course races and 1 coastal race.

GP 7 Stockholm Sailing Grand Prix 20-22 sept. (Nacka Strand Y C)
8 RACING AREA
The racing area will be close to the event area at each racing arena.
9 THE COURSE
At each Grand Prix, 4-6 course races on a windward-leeward course and 1 costal race (around 3 hours) will be sailed, unless otherwise stated in separate Notice of Race.
10 STARTING PROCEDURE
In addition to traditional starting procedures with flag signals and gun shots, there will be an additional countdown via VHF.
11 SCORING
The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply for each GP and for the total GP series. For the total GP series only 5 GP's will count
12 PRIZES
Prizes are given to the winners of each GP. The winner of the total Grand Prix Series is given the Swedish X-35 Grand Prix Trophy.
13 MOORING
At each GP mooring without charge is to be made close to the yacht club in a place shown by the organiser.
